Alycia and I have been sick this week; Deb, Mark and Alycia’s mom Cathi have taken over for us staying with Ella. It has been comforting knowing that they are there with her, as Alycia and I get a much needed break to recharge. Thank you so much Cathi and Mark for your help and support. And as if my wife Deb hasn’t been through enough, with work, Ella’s illness, helping support me, she just found out yesterday that her mother has terminal cancer. She flew out to Houston for the next five days to be with her. I guess it can really always get worse. Today Ella had an MRI to check the spot on her spine to see if it had gotten any bigger and if it may be cancer coming back. If it is cancer, she will need more radiation and this will be devastating to all of us. She is still in the coma, she does have her eyes opened for many hours a day, but is not yet awake.
Please value every day you have with those you love and don’t ever take a moment of this life for granted, ever. Put aside your politics and religious beliefs and always help those around you who are suffering and in need. Hug your children and kiss them several times an hour, even if it grosses them out and don’t scream or yell at them when they make mistakes.
Thank you.
UPDATE!!!!!
The MRI confirmed no new cancer growth!!! As of this moment Ella is cancer-free!! Well, the radiation is destroying those last few cells, but all-in-all things are looking very positive!

Through a very unusual set of circumstances, not a coincidence from our view point, we met Glen at Rocker Oysterfeller in Valley Ford last Sunday night on this “day off”, as if one can take a day of from something like this, yet one should, and needs to. We were introduced to Ella and her struggle, and join what sounds like two fantastic sets of parents, and a host of great friends, in supporting and praying for this very special little girl. We look forward to seeing Glen again, and meeting Ella and more of her family and friends. Really tremendous news about the MRI scan.

I am so very, very pleased for you all. That is such brilliant news.
I don’t really know Deb, but please send her my very best wishes.
Huge hugs to all of you!
Take care of yourselves.
SO HAPPY ABOUT ELLA!
Keeping Deb and her family in my thoughts. I have such wonderful memories of her mother, who was not just a friend’s mom but also the receptionist at our school.
I am so happy to see that Ella is doing so much better. My prayers will continue for Ella, but also for Deb and her mother.
Actually, PRAISE SCIENCE!!!
Yay for Ella, but I’m so sad for Deb and Jan. All our love goes out to you guys.
That is the sweetest news a family can get….CANCER FREE!!! Praise the Lord!! Keep up the good work. Linda
